    Spark Plug Question

I changed out all of the spark plugs on my G23 with the 6.2L today. When I pulled the wire off cylinder 3 it had a black spacer on it. None of the others wires had it and I'm going back and forth in my hand trying to figure out what and why that could be? Does anyone have any ideas? Wish i had a picture but already left the boat, but it was about 1/3 of an inch thick and maybe the size of a penny.

Was it metal or plastic? Threaded? Sometimes people use an anti-fouler (non-fouler) to keep the plug out of oil to prevent it from fouling. Not exactly the right way to fix the problem but someone might have done it in a pinch.

      Thanks for the reply.

Definitely not threaded and it was plastic. l’m able to run the boat tomorrow, so I’ll see if there are any issues.
