Ok guys waiting on dealer and trying to figure out my issue.
I’ve got a 2002 sante that I’ve owned for 7 years. Ran great with only minor issues. Last Saturday we were on our way home when boat just died while driving about 25mph. Tried to start and would not start but will turn over regular. Checked engine bay and the top red ignition fuse was triggered. I pushed it back in and it started. Drive about another mile and died once more. Fuse not triggered this time. Will only start if I floor the gas and the it runs real rough and you can smell gas. So I replaced plugs, cap, roter. Got just a tad better but still only start at full gas. Pulled plugs to do compression and notice that the center 4 (2 on each side) are still new like no fire but then once I crank it I notice tons of fluid coming out of this 4 cylinder. It appears to be gas. Like way to much gas. So I think my issue is that my engine is getting Way To much fuel to those 4 and it won’t fire just fills with gas. Whet would cause this? I have a video of this is I can post I will. Oil looks good.
I currently have the plugs out and I unplugged the fuel pump to get all fuel out of all cylinders so I can get a correct compression test. The wet cylinder were reading 290 plus.
gt40 ford engine , perfect pass, hot water shower, 578 hours.
