2014 G23 tower. Wanting to remove the tower this offseason to have it powdercoated or painted a different color(one solid color instead of the white being where the board rack mounts are. Is this something that would be easier to take the boat somewhere or would it be better to pull the tower? I am very capable mechanically just have not found anything on how these towers are with removal and what not.

Lockem25 I think removing it would be a huge PITA. Not only is it cumbersome, you would have all the wiring to fish back through once the painting is complete. Much easier to take the boat to a paint shop and get them to repaint the tower while it is on the boat. Just my opinion although. BTW, I do like the powder coating paint on my G23 tower.Last edited by GMLIII; 08-29-2022, 01:10 PM.

If you are mechanically inclined, the tower removal is pretty straight forward. If you had an overhead hoist or A Frame Rack, life just got even easier.
I've had my off on the '16 G for some modifications (just the tower, not the mounting racks). We pulled the speakers & bimini. Removed the interior rack upholstery cushions for tower mounting access, and the side cushions below the tower to access the wiring harnesses (plug & play). Wires stay in the tower. From there it is a side mounting plate with multiple screws, pivot bolt, and hydro shock. Lift and remove - 3 guys off the back of the boat, or one really strong animal of a neighbor. If you need to pull the tower mounting racks attached to the gun walls, just a bunch of bolts.
I'm sure the '14 is similar. I had to figure it out on my own, because like you mentioned, I searched to the end of the internet, and there is nothing. Not sure they can powder coat your tower "on the boat", the last trailer that I had done, we had to strip all the wiring and anything that would melt off of it before they stuck Hansel & Gretel in the oven. Maybe...
