MN Ryan Funny you should mention that - the one thing I didn't do was install a way to hook the little 'shower curtain hanger' onto my quick-connect setup. Need to add a zip-tie or something...

I went a slightly different route on extraction. I have a pump extractor and I found a push-on attachment that has the same thread as the oil drain hose (1/4" NPT I think). It screws right onto the drain hose as is and since it's a push on connector, I can pull the connector off to use for extracting transmission fluid.

Has anyone had issues with their Topsider not extracting the oil? After pumping 30-40 times to set the initial negative pressure, I can hear a hissing noise from the Topsider cap with the hose connection. I've tried re-seating the gasket and cap and still doesn't seem to pull enough vacuum to drain the oil. I had to constantly pump the can to get any oil moving out of the drain hose.

Sorry, I can't help you Jamesmh, good luck, definitely a vacuum leak going on.
I am rather keen to that push connector hal2814, good idea. I love the quick connect option, but as you mentioned I use my extractor for other applications.
I need to measure the hose diameter, but I think I'm close to being on track here:
