Temperature Sender Replacement GT40 (on waterpump housing)

So I have a bad sender and trying to get the thing out with a open-end wrench, no way it will budge. Tried penetrant, torched it (water on backside, so won't get that hot).

At risk of rounding I have stopped there and just zapped-tied a new sender to the old for now.

So the T-stat housing and base would need to come off to get a proper socket on it. Is the gasketing PCM only? Any other tips?

Maybe one of these would help.

Thanks that's a good idea. I have a 10/11mm wrench like this. Didn't know they were made for larger sizes. Called a flare nut wrench.
I actually tried two 19mm wrenches in sync but still couldn't break it loose.

After getting the flare wrench and grinding it down, won't go. Then got my slimmest ring-end wrench, got a good hold of it and managed to bump it loose. It was like a wheel nut torque. Well then the fun began.

        1. Temperature gauge went DOWN as I drove around the lake.
        2. Opened the T-stat housing to find it had split in 1/2, so was basically open flow all the time.. didn't know cause my sender was bad.
        3. Installed new t-stat I got from a buddy with a ~ incorrect gasket (punched new bolt holes, it worked).
        4. Temp gauge then went to 200 or so, because the sender I got locally here is the part for a '95 Econoline van
        5. Ordered parts from NP!!

PB blaster usually works for me... Might have to let it set overnight.... I actually free'd up a locked up motor with PB Blaster one time lol
