PSA - check you distributor cap/ coil wire for corrosion

Third season owning my 2006 SANTE. Did all the maintenance to date as far as fluids/ filters.

Would get the occasional limp mode and was checking possible issues. My distributor cap was pretty corroded underneath and the connection for the coil was hard packed yellow in that connector.

Also the throttlebody butterfly was dusted in yellow corrosion powder as well.

Ordered a new throttlebody/sensor as well just to further reduce potential things that could’ve corroded due to the age.

But definitely if you’ve gotten an older Nautique take a look under the cap. I ordered a kit online with the cap+ rotor+ plugs+ wires.

Fires off silky smooth now. Also looks like Iā€™m due for some valve cover gaskets (some oil on a couple pluggedā€™ housings).
