How do you re-apply loose chromax letters?

Have one that has about 1/3 of it hanging loose. What has anyone used to stick them back on? Looks like epoxy is a more permanent solution than would be good. Any other ideas?

No bueno on the epoxy, if you ever had to remove them, for what ever reason, you might take a chunk of gel coat off with them. Don't ask me how I know this.
Mask area and apply a little 3M spray glue on both sides, lettering and hull. Allow it to tack for a few minutes, press and hold for a few minutes. Denatured alcohol for the excess cleanup.
Pictures would be very helpful of what your up against. Throwing darts with a blind fold on here...

Pull it off completely and reapply with new 3M gray or auto dual sided trim adhesive? The chromax I installed had the two sided tape.
Auto parts supply, I think Staples sells it too.

Yep, thought about taking pics about an hour after I left the boat. Thanks for the thoughts. Will try some 3m double sided tape.

If you decide to replace the tape completely (really not necessary), caution on the thickness of replacement tape. You'll want to go with a thin bonding tape, or you snag a towel everytime you go for a wipe down. I've found the best way to remove is by applying a little heat gun love and then using a fishing line to clean cut along the surface. That's the easy part, removing the tape from the back of the lettering will either go very smoothly, or see you in an hour. Have fun, let's us know how it goes, always learning...
