Hi guys, just acquired a 2011 TE 230, in fantastic shape, with a PCM ZR409. Wanted to touch base here and confirm I have done everything needed for winter storage, please see what I did below:
-Got boat to operating temperature via water
-Disconnected the main cooling intake, behind the sea strainer (emptied sea strainer)
-Pumped 6 gallons of RV antifreeze through the motor, as the motor was running
Then went through the motor and pulled the following drain plugs and left out in a plastic bag:
-Two plugs on the stbd and two plugs on the port exhaust manifolds, 4 Plugs total
-Pulled drain plug on the transmission, 1 Plug
-RV antifreeze drained out on all of the drain plugs
-I left all hoses attached, with RV antifreeze in them. (Should I pull those off and leave loose in boat?)
I have owned other inboards as well, couple of things I noticed on this boat that were different:
-Heater core and feeds are on the closed loop system, they have coolant (not raw water)
-Heat exchanger, when I removed the raw water drain, coolant came out-this was before I started the pumping of RV antifreeze
-The dripless system for the prop shaft, it feeds directly off the heat exchanger
Flushed the bilge/sump area with water, took out ballast bags, wiped everything down and put cover on.
Am I missing anything here?
Thank you in advance
