Upgrading Standard Lighting to Enhanced Lighting Package

I have a 2018 GS20 that came with the standard lighting package and without cupholder lights. As a Winter project, I would like to add RGB cupholders and curtesy lights. I have read through the various posts but haven't found a definitive answer from someone you has successfully done this upgrade on a GS (preferably a 2018). My first question is this simply a plug and play upgrade? Namely, is the RGB controller and wiring harness in place and is it just a matter of purchasing the RGB cupholders and lights? If not, what is involved in upgrading the lighting? What is already in place and what is needed? (for example, does a wiring harness just need to be made or is a controller needed as well?) Any help from someone who has gone down this road (or knows the answers) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you end up doing this upgrade? I was curious if it was just plug and play.

I have not. Still too many unknowns and lack of time to fully research what is needed.

I would kind of like to do this. There is not an RGB option on the Linc, but it's just a 12v plug in to the cup holders. I would think all wires run back to one source, maybe under the dash at some point. I have done other boats and misc under counter projects with a plug and play utilizing a remote to change color patterns. I would also like to add something to the tower speakers since the wiring is already there. I think this would be a fairly simple project. But like CVAGS20 said, lack of time, and 100 other projects ahead of it on the list. Still looks pretty cool running soft white. Yet another Winter project, TBA...
