Engine cut sensor Ski Nautiques Ford PCM 1997

I have problems when I accelerate forward to more than 2,500 RPM the engine cut sensor activates. If I do it in neutral or backwards it doesn't fail. I have not been able to detect what is wrong. Any ideas to help me, many thanks

The only thing that causes that is the SLOW system. See below.

Assuming you are not running hot, and you have good oil pressure, one of the two switches below has failed.

You can disconnect each switch in turn to see which one is failing. Once the engine runs normally with one or the other disconnected, just replace the bad switch.
