Starting After Winter

My 2019 G 25 has been winterized. The weather is turning nice where I live and I was thinking about putting the boat in the water soon. I was wondering, is there any concern with it sitting so long and then putting it in the water and starting?

Just make sure all of the winterization drain lines are hooked back up, and that the batteries have a good charge, and go for it!

Make sure you put your bilge plug(s) in!

LOL, I have never done it with my current boat, but it's happened to me a time or two with a fishing boat. MN requires the plug to be out during transport, and I have come back after parking the truck to find water over the floor.

I've never done it in my G, cause that'd just be too easy - open the battery compartment and screw it in. I did do more than once in my Tigé, which required the panic expedited re-trailering! Gotta pull plugs for ANS inspections in CO.

Am I the only one who runs the boat on the trailer first to collect the RV antifreeze out of it? I’ve done a bit googling and it doesn’t get a lot of attention. It can’t be great to dump it into the lake, right?

I just did it yesterday. I use rv antifreeze and they say it’s non toxic.
For me in Iowa it’s reinstalled the battery, new impeller and head to the lake.
We water skied yesterday, and it’s snowing now. I just had to dump all the water because of it the low temps this next week.
