What is this? Was it part of my impeller?

I noticed this plate, and last thing I did over the winter with my impeller. I can’t recall if this is part of what goes back in the housing :-)

Noticed it in the bottom of my bilge of all places

It's from inside the raw water pump housing. I don't recall which end, but definitely goes in the housing and one end of the impeller runs against that plate.

Not the brightest bulb am I?

I left the impeller apart for a few weeks between other things, like valve cover gaskets.

Easy to fix!
