Bought replacement hinges for my garbage can lid. Pretty scratched up and half the chrome covers were missing.
The screws also wiggle so I will add some resin to remove the wiggle.
But if you look the lid, sits below the gunnel half of the hinge. 8it bends the hinge upward on the hatch. Probably what caused the chrome stick on covers to disappear over the years.
It looks like, some sort of spacer would hold it flush and won’t bend the hinge probably preventing it from wiggling the screws loose.
Has anyone added on some sort of stainless plate similar to what the catch uses to close the lid?
