2003 196 Gas Fill Size

I have several of the Flo-Fast gas tanks and discovered that the hose I use for recent model Nautiques does not fit in the old style fuel fill, including the one on a 2003 196. Does anyone know the size (or can check for me) of the "old" style fill (meaning the largest outside diameter hose I can use)?

My 2007 seems to be the same as my 02. I use a hose jiggler with 7/8” outside diameter. There is a little wiggle room, actual opening may be 1” but I can’t get an accurate measurement since it is recessed

Thanks for that JayG80. I also found out that the US standard for fuel nozzles, at gas stations for unleaded, is 7/8 OD.

I had to add a reducer and nipple to my fast-flow hunsaker gas cans so it would fit my 2009 boat. Fueling from cans is a much slower process now.
