2022+ flight control tower locking adjustments??

    Hi all,
I took delivery of my new 2022 G23 on Saturday. Now I have the boat in my warehouse and I am prepping her for the season here on Finland. I folded the tower down (manual tower) to see how it operates. As I raised the tower back up and locked the tower I noticed that the starboard side locking lever movement is not stiff and firm like it should be and like the port side is. My question is that how can I adjust the mechanism so that the locking becomes firm?

    thanks

I have just the opposite, one side is way too tight. I've been in the internals of those before and I'm not sure I've figured it out yet. Still playing around with it. There is a set screw on top of the locking cam, but that doesn't seem to offer any cause or effect. I kind of think they cross threaded a screw on the build causing the lock pin to position off just a tad. Haven't spend much time on it, but I'll figure it out, I'm sure there is a way.
I would love to hear the answer to this one...

My dealer is consulting Nautique to get me an answer. I will share it here once I have figured out the solution

Thanks wilhelmwake, I was on that same coarse via Nautique Parts, maybe between the 2 of us...

While we are on the subject of towers, I needed to touch up some hacks on my textured tower, but wasn't getting the color dialed in to my specs.
This is what $107 bucks gets you at Ram-Lin, 2 oz's of paint, hardner, a sweet foam brush, and one bite out of a popsickle stick. But it is a dead on match, I'll give them that much.

So here's what I got back from my connection at Nautique Parts (sorry to say I have a connection there). Apparently Jeff is a well known celebrity around NP, they roll out the red carpet for him when he brings his checkbook in, lol.
It is the magic of the set screw on top of the cam. The tighter that screw is, the harder it pulls down on the tower. I'll mess with this evening, see what happens. Maybe grab a few pics.

Honestly I think the only thing that will MAKE a difference is to adjust The plastic triangular wedge to loosen or tighten The locking, but I will wait for The Nautique Engineering response…

Hi, yes, Nautique will send a slightly bigger pin and the corresponding drill bit for the tower leg. My dealer will then mount the new pin.

Makes sense I suppose. If the lever is too tight, then maybe a smaller pin, at which point you can't undrill the hole. I might have to do a little machine fab work, won't take much. It's not horrible, but you do have to take a breath to crank it down, and I know it could be better/smoother. Thanks for the feedback.
