    2015 Nautique G21 Heater Issue

    Hello,

I have a 2015 Nautique G21 with a ZR450. Currently the front heater vent/duct on the driver side does not blow out any air. The other vents/ducts blow air just fine. I am trying to troubleshoot the issue but dont know where to begin.

Thus my questions are as follows:
    • Does anyone have any pictures of getting to the heater blower?
    • Are there any fuses anywhere that I can check that affect just the front heater vent/duct?
    • Is there anything else I should check?
I looked in the owners Manual https://www.planetnautique.com/Corre...e-nautique.pdf and the CockpitHeaterSystem-Optional page show a diagram. However this was not much help in actually figuring out what I need to take apart to get to the heater blower/intake.

Thanks in advance for your time!

I have tried taking several different things in terms of taking apart the boat to get to the heater, but I haven't tried taking off the front seat cushion to get to it. Ill try that next (found in the link below)

If the other vents are blowing air, it would seem to me that the duct is blocked. I am not familiar with your boat, but have the same engine in mine. I would check the driver's side vent and cover to make sure that it is not plugged or shut off. If that checks out okay, I would then check the end at the heater to make sure it is still connected and then make sure the duct hose is not crushed or constricted.

Agreed with SatherG230 - if some outlets are working and others are not, it's likely that the front vent hose is either disconnect or crushed/blocked. You can access the heater blower unit by removing the vertical backrest cushion in the bow on the driver's side - it's held in with christmas tree fasteners (some of which will likely snap, so order some extras). This is based on my knowledge of my 2018 and 2020 G21s, so assuming it would be the same for yours. Good luck!

BasaltRMK nailed it. I had to pull my seat panel to access a blown sub, and I said "so that's how you get to the heater blower", for my future reference.
I have yet to pull a panel without breaking or tweaking a CT stud. Don't use screwdrivers to remove the panel, do yourself a favor and spend a couple of bucks on a trim removel kit at the auto parts store or Amazon, you'll use it down the road whether on a boat or a car.

Christmas Tree Studs, order 10, hopefully you need one (this time):
