    Ballast gauges

I had the gateway bypas done over the winter and I just took the boat out last weekend and now none of the ballast gauges are working. I called the dealership and they said that those gauges are not a part of the gateway system and were not messed with during the process. Could some cable have come loose or something like a ground cable? They all worked last year and now they all read 0 all the time. Any suggestions??

    thanks!!

The pumps are working fine and filling the tanks but the gauges will all just stay at 0

You need the gauges working in order to tell the pumps to drain. Take a small piece of wire, snip off a little from each end to make a U-shaped, and jump the harness connection at the ballast pump to see if the gauges flip up to full.

its not uncommon for these sending units to go dead and not read. So you can test each gauge by jumping the connection at the sending unit to see if the gauge goes full.

If a couple of the gauges unresponsive when you jump, the harness, you can start checking the wiring

That depends on the boat. My '07 has timers on the pumps--works fine with the gauges disconnected.
