Replacement for recalled Steering cable / '96 Super Sport ?

Looking to ensure I pick up the right cable. Any guidance is much appreciated.



LBS recommended THIS guy:

...But it's on recall, and super expensive. Nautiqueparts.com links to THIS cable as the replacement:

The cable would also need this Helm base, per their site:

Anyone know if this cable + helm base is what I need for my '96 super sport?
