I just purchased a 1990 Ski Nautique. Is it common for that year model PCM40, 1:23/1 transmission to have a loud high pitch whine? I owned a 1993 and it didn't have this noise but I'm not sure what transmission it had. It seems to only happen in forward gear. Transmission seems to be operating fine. Oil level is good. It almost sounds like a bearing. Any help or ideas to check is appreciated.

Start with a fluid flush and see if it changes. It will make some noise but "loud" is a relative term.2004 206 Air Nautique Limited - Black with Vapor Blue (family style)
