2000 Ski Natique Rear Storage

Have a 2000 Ski Natique with the below seat:



The lifting mechanism is extremely stiff and doesn't operate smoothly from lack of use. Any good ways to fix?

I had the same problem on my 2001. Replace the gas shocks. Then use silicone lube on the sliding mechanism. This should make a big difference.
