Temperature gauge sensor for 2007 zr6 motor

Hi

i have an 07 236 with the closed cooled zr6 motor. My temp gauge (analog) stopped working. The one in the computer (digital) still works. I’m trying to find the location and part number for the sender. The manual says it’s on the transom side of the motor on top of the water pump, but mine doesn’t seem to have a sender there. Anyone know where it’s actually located?

The gauges in my 06 are daisy chained together and all have the same connector. So you can swap the connector on one type of gauge to another and it magically knows what to display. I'd try that and see if the gauge starts working. If is doesn't, it might be the gauge itself.
