Is there anything special that needs to be done to the heater to winterize it? Thanks

RE: heater winterization
Disconnect it from the block and blow through one of the hoses to make sure you get all the water out of the heater core. I backfill it with antifreeze- just pour it in one hose until it comes out the other.1990 Ski Nautique

Backfilling is a necessity, as it seems that just blowing out the core can leave enough water in it to crack (Learned this the hard way). Remember if it uses a heat exchanging fresh water cooling system the heater will already have anti-freeze in it, and theres no reason to flush it.
