Black Windshield Frame or Silver?

The black windshield frame on my 03 210 looks pretty rough, the previous owner clearly did not take care of it. What are my options? I like the silver frames of the 05 210’s, should I look for one for sale, or attempt to paint over the black?

depends on the amount of work you are willing to do but my preferred option is to take it all off, glass out, and powdercoat the frame. I prefer the black of my 196 vs the silver that is on my 226

If my tower was black I would have to agree, but my tower is power coated blue to match the boat. That was my thought to take everything off and the glass out of the frame then paint. I just didn’t know what painting technique was best. I would hate to use spray paint on something like this.

Mine looks like a Dalmatian. Originally black, but the black has chipped away all along the top rail.

No paint, have it powder coated for best results

Yep, powdercoating is the only way to go.

Mine looks like a Dalmatian. Originally black, but the black has chipped away all along the top rail.

Mine isn’t too far off. Interesting enough, we have similar color boats
I think powercoating silver is the way to go mainly because my tower is blue, if the tower was black I would probably keep the black windshield frame color.
