Good Afternoon PN Community,
After a great day out on the boat, I noticed a significant amount of water in the engine bilge and the pump running considerably more than normal. While cleaning up the boat, I decided to go looking for the possible issue. As you can see by the picture, the rubber hose on the shaft seal assembly is deteroriating. Also the shaft looks like it needs to be aligned.

So I have a several questions.
Thanks,
Mike

So I have a several questions.
- Has anyone tackled this project before?
- How difficult is it?
- Has anyone used a dripless shaft seal like OJ Flex Gland or the Glide Marine Seal System in place of the original stuffing box?
- How difficult is it to do the shaft alignment on a V-Drive?
Thanks,
Mike
