Bilge and lights work but engine won’t start

Hello, I just hooked up the battery, entered the code, it unlocked. Bilge and lights work however when I go to start nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. Nautique 2001. Ran great last year

Check your battery. I had the same issue this spring and a new battery took care of it.

Thanks! We had the battery on maintenance charge and it read full however it is an older battery! Thank you!

Was that the problem then? My battery was on the maintainer all winter also. The battery shop guy said it had lasted eight years. Not bad since he said that some guys are in every one to two years.

Mine is 9 years old. Picking up a new one today. Will let you know if it works!

9 years? That's impressive life. My money says a new battery will fix your issue. Have them load test your old one.

New battery started it! We have it on charge to top it up and putting the boat in tomorrow. Hopefully ski in the evening!

Good news! I have an '02 Ski Nautique and no issues so far with the keypads.
