Suggestions for Electronic Ignition Kit for 1990 Ski Nautique?

I have a 1990 Ski Nautique with a failed Mallory E-Spark Ignition kit installed on a Prestolite distributor.

Looking to replace it but not sure what the best options are. Thanks in advance...

You could just get another Mallory. Pertronix also makes one for the prestolite. You probably also want to take a look at the springs and weights and make sure they’re in good shape while you’re in there.

I've been running Pertronix gear on classic cars and way back in the day on several of my old boats. I'm running their Pertronix III system with their Blaster coil and am very happy with the results. They have a marine offering section on their site that you can do some research on but I would recommend getting all your information on the engine together and calling their tech support for better insight/options.

Thank you Gentlemen! Do you recommend the Ignitor I or Ignitor II? Or is there a real difference for a boat? Thanks in advance...

IMO, these are the best distributors available. No external coil is required. One wire hook-up for 12V and one wire for tach. Easy Peasy.
SummitRacing. Jegs. SkiDim all have them.

If you're doing Pertronix I would recommend either the II or III as both of these have "key on" protection. As in if you leave the key in the on position it won't burn out the module.
