Dented FCC Bowl along the taper - issue?

Can't seem to find much info on this topic, which maybe means it has an obvious answer and I'm just inexperienced, but let's see.

While doing some work on the FCC assembly recently, I had taken the whole unit out. During this, I placed the FCC bowl on my workbench, walked in side and then heard a loud metal pinging sound from the garage. I was pretty sure what it was right away, and when I went to investigate, I was right...the FCC bowl rolled off the bench and hit the ground (kicking myself for not placing it in the box or vise I had next to it). Upon inspection, it landed on the taper, above the threads, at the top and it is slightly dented.

My question is if it's guaranteed to leak, or is it worth putting everything back in to test? If this is going to for sure leak, curious if that would mean I just need to get a whole new assembly or if are there ways to fix. I would go ahead and put it back in but I am waiting on the retro fit part to fix a leak at the wire harness seal, so I am at least a few days/week out on being able to test.

Here are some pics for reference.

Must be pretty soft - bet you could knock it back with a piece of wood rounded to approximate the diameter.

I'll give that a try, buddy of my mine suggested something similar. Sounds like I may have to get a little creative.
