2007 236 TE - Rear Locker Hinge Function

When opening the rear locker/sun pad on my 2007 236 TE, I have to pull toward the center of the boat and lift up at the same time. Is this normal? The gas struts hold the doors open just fine but I feel like these doors should be able to open a little more smoothly or single handedly. Would new gas struts make these doors function better?

It's kind of like your home J, a vicious circle, you fix one thing and move on to the next. One day you find yourself back at the same spot you started.
Gas struts (shocks), relatively inexpensive, replace them, you'll be good to go. Hold on to your rig long enough, you'll be back. Usually there is a number on the tube, if illegible you can take measurements and try to determine how much weight you are lifting, or run a search at Nautique Parts, take advantage of the PN discount code.

Thanks, I replaced all the other struts already and ordered them for the rear lockers but haven't installed yet. I was just hoping someone else might have had a similar experience or issue that was fixed by new struts or something else.
