Switching out the dash on a 1998 Air to rocker switches. Anyone know what "accy 1" and "accy 2" are from the factory? I can't find anything that changes with them on or off.

I would strongly advise against this. Those aren't just switches. They are breakers. They prevent overload of the electrical system. Please replace those with the correct part.

To answer your question, those ACCY breakers aren't connected to anything from the factory. They are for if you want to install additional things. I have used them for underwater lights and things like that in the past.

Listen to what Keith said. I would also advise against changing out to unprotected rocker switches. The combination switch/circuit breaker is there for a reason. If the switch gets a little stiff to depress or starts acting up, some people have had good luck by squirting a little WD-40 into the switch post and work it around a bit. On my 1994, I changed out all the switches/circuit breakers during a dash refresh.

All of the switches are being wired through a stand alone fuse panel with appropriate size fuses for each. You guys still think it would cause an issue?Comment
