Recommended Service Advice for my boat

Hey guys, I just became an owner of a 2000 Super Air Nautique and I’m super excited. I’m going to be honest and I need your help. What recommended service would you recommend for my boat, (general maintenance), and what problems should I check for every once in a while to make sure it will continue running well? Also, what are the worst things about the 2000 Super Air?

See chapters 5 & 8 of your owner's manual.

I would probably tackle it in this order. And if you can verify any of it was done check it off the list.

Oil and filter change
Transmission fluid change
Impeller
V Drive oil change.
Fuel filter
There's also a filter under the floor where the tank is.
Tuneup kit with plugs wires distributor cap and rotor
New serpentine belt and tensioner to avoid the future squeaks

Trailer: Definitely get some nice bunk Carpet and re-carpet the trailer. These big boats it makes a big difference if it has nice bunk carpeting or not to slide off and on.

Check the date codes on all the tires and replace it for older than five years! Check the brakes, possibly add fluid or bleed. Check the bearings lubricate them to.


If u have a 5.7 343 Vortec engine, so you can also source things from an auto website like the tensioner.


And never underestimate how nice a new steering cable is, good job for the off-season :-)
