Hi All
Thanks for the help
We have a 2002 Super Air Nautique GT 40 Vdrive
Boat ran great yesterday no issues - go to start it this morning just spins and turns over but wont fire - things we have tried and checked below
There is no key on this boat (has the keypad). When we push the start button on I do not hear the fuel pumps kicking on so started there. I jumped the fuel pumps by grounding out the pin in the EEC pin to manually make the fuel pumps turn on (they did turn on and run) but boat still wont start. The jumper wire didn't work when the ignition was initially turned on (by pressing start once on key pad), however, after turning over the engine once (crank - no start) with dash lights still engaged the jumper wire in the EEC toggles both low and high pressure fuel pump and pressurizes the rail to 40 PSI. I took off the return to the tank and did see fuel coming out at a normal rate.
Things I have also tried:
Tried to bypass the kill switch - took the wires out and manually connected them together - no luck
Tried new battery/charge - getting good voltage - no luck
Checked neutral sensor switch but appears to be functioning properly as I understand the engine would not crank if tripped (confirmed when in gear and I push start engine does not crank at all)
Checked all circuits - getting 12V plus to each of them - no luck
Checked fuse off battery positive cable - 30amp fuse not blown
Changed out both relays (fuel and ignition) with new from auto parts store- no luck
Took flame arrestor off sprayed starting fluid in there and tried to crank - no luck or pop
Cap and plugs are less than 12 mos old - used a spark plug tester and getting spark
Oil good - no water in oil
Any other ideas to try - thank you!!!!!!!
