    Fuel pump power issue

Need help please. 1998 air nautique, high pressure fuel pump not turning on. I have power through the push button breaker and have pushed it several times, seems fine. I have power at the relay and have replaced relay. I have jumped the pump straight from the battery and it works fine. What connection am I missing in there?

Very common for the connector in the relay socket where the relay plugs in to fail.

I'd also make sure that the safety lanyard is fully pushing the button in. If that button is not fully pushed in, it cuts power to the fuel pump. You can test by pulling the lanyard off and holding the button in all the way. If that's your problem you can order a new lanyard from Nautique Parts but you should be able to get by in the meantime by placing a coin or other small object in between the lanyard and the button. I ran into this when I first got my 99 Super Sport.

jpwhit, any idea if that part is available? s_kelley2000, unfortunately tried that. Obvious difference when I unhook the lanyard. It will not start at all. With the lanyard in place, starts every time, then dies as soon a it needs to pull gas. LP pump is working, it fills the FCC canister each time.

I don't know, I've always just repaired the sockets myself. But I do a ton of electronic fabrication so I have tons of tools and parts.

First step would be to use a meter and a wire piercing probe to see if you have power on the wire coming out of the relay socket that goes to the fuel pump. I would expect that wire has the same color code as the positive wire going into the fuel pump connector. If no power, and the relay is good, and there is 12V coming to the relay, then the problem has to be the socket.
