2008 Air Natique 236 390 HP PCM ZR-6 6.0 Liter. Performance Engine Tune?

Hello,so this is my first post. I have a 2008 Air Natique 236 with 390 HP PCM ZR-6. We now have 350 hours on the boat. Motor runs great,never missed a service.
But now the family has gotten bigger and there is always 10-14 people in the boat. I have added additional wake maker ballast bags as well to help with the surfing.

problem now is I want more power. Does anyone know of an Engine Tune we can buy and program in to increase HP. Not worried about fuel/mileage…..just want more power.

Not really. PCM doesn't release things like that to the public, and there aren't any aftermarket tunes available that I am aware of.

Your best bet is probably to reprop the boat.

To add a little more to what NautiqueJeff already posted. In the automotive world the engine ECMs and the software tools used to configure the engine ECMs are used across such a large scale of supplier, OEMs, and partners that's it pretty much impossible to keep the stuff from leaking out to being practically publicly available. That allows "tuners" to get access to the technical info and software tools needed to create custom Tunes.

In the Marine world, pretty much all marinizers use eControls Marine ECMs now. eControls is fiercely protective of their intellectual property so it's extremely unlikely that custom tunes for marine engines will ever be available. Also, the standard marine tunes tend to be more aggressive than standard automotive tunes because power in a boat is so important. So, there is actually less opportunity to increase performance with a custom tune as there is in the automotive world. Due to that, and the many order of magnitudes smaller market, there's very little business incentive for tuners to even try to do something in the marine world. Just not enough money to be made to justify the work it would take to produce custom Tunes.

Boat motors already work hard for a living, especially when you start making big waves. I would expect a more aggressive tune would shorten your engines life. Reprop or upgrade boat time!
