    Transmission - Lost Reverse

I have a 2017 G25 with 100 hours. The past two times I took the boat out, reverse stop working and then started working again. I would shift into reverse; the engine would rev without engaging the v-drive. After powering down the boat and restarting, reverse worked properly. There are no unusual noises, all the fluids look good. I am assuming something in the electronic shifting mechanism. Does anyone have a good starting point to start trouble shooting?

When I shift my G into reverse, I get that annoying clunk. Don't really like the sound much, but I guess it's part of the beast. Every boat I've owned that transition has never been butter smooth. Sounds like you are getting a no shift. Have you checked for fault codes?

Quick search, this is all I found (yet anither dead end thread):

Most likely a failing Throttle Base Assembly. They have been very unreliable on the 2015 and newer boats.
