My alternator quit on my 2005 .SV211, I pulled it and it looks original to the boat. What should I replace it with? Nautiqueparts has one for ~$300... is that the one I should get? Is there an upgrade? Thanks!

Sometimes your local parts store can ID the GM model and order direct. Best way to do this is to remove the current one and take it to the counter and see if they can lookup. This may save you the 'boat tax' from dealers. But do be sure it's like for like - marine alternators are not always the same as automotive alternators.
