Access to belly ballast level sensor 2017 230

    Hello everyone,

The belly ballast level sensor is partially operative. I am reasonably confident that the fault is in the sensor, based on prior experience with my last Nautique and other experiences. It reads between empty and 5/8 tank, and filling and emptying get travel but real zero and full don't correlate to the sensor. The question is how to get to the dang thing so I can replace it.

I pulled the big floor panel, and underneath is the fuel tank (aft) and the belly tank (forward) with a couple of inches of the belly tank visible. Looking forward with a borescope I can see what appears to be the sensor well forward, about even with the helm roughly, but with no obvious means to access it.

Any ideas how to get to it? I hope the answer is not to pull the fuel tank and slide the belly tank aft, that would be an engineering fail.

Also, ideas on where to get a replacement sensor?

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you. So this looks like a low head pressure sensor. It thus must be mounted in the bottom of the tank somewhere?

Don’t know . I have replaced all 3 twice in my 2017 G23 but I got dealer to change them because they are a PITA to change . Known problem in these boats
