Randomly this weekend both the Depth Gauge and the Water Temp stopped working (both are showing 0 values on the LINC screen). I’ve never had a problem before with them and both were fine last weekend. I don’t have any other electrical issues and not showing any faults in the system. I assume this will all be covered under warranty with the Dealer but has anyone had a similar experience and any suggestions for a quick and dirty DIY solution? TIA for any help!

The Airmar depth and temp bi-ducers aren't the most robust and fail pretty regularly. They are also super easy to change. Sometimes for a part like this, you can convince the dealer to mail you the part. Typically, they'll charge you for it, but will refund the charge when they get the failed part back from you. You just unscrew the retaining ring on the old one and slide it out of the through hull holder and disconnect the canbus connector. Slide the new one in, tighten the retaining ring and connect the canbus connector.

Don't be surprised if it works again the next time you go out. When they are failing, they typically come and go for quite a while before they completely die.

Awesome, thanks …. I figured it was likely the same part that failed. We’re taking our boats off the water in early October so I’ll let the dealer know that this needs sorting out which I expect to be covered under warranty. Thanks for the quick and super-knowledgeable response, this is why I love this forum to access this kind of super helpful knowledge sharing!
