Last time on the lake the Low Voltage beep was displayed in the gauge 11.4v
Checked the battery it was Low/No dead Cells- In Need of Charge. Still started motor strong
Cleaned all terminals at battery to ensure good contact was being made- No difference
Changed Belt to ensure no slippage- Start with the easy and inexpensive-No difference
Pulled Alternator- Took to Ignition shop (Not AutoZone or Similar), "Cooked, Cooked"
Purchased Replacement and installed
This is where it get interesting:
New Alternator, Punch in code, get power to the gagues No Start!!
Power at the keypad, No Crank
Items Checked:
Inline fuses at the Battey (20/30amp) cant recall-Good
50 amp slow burn at battery looks good ( What is this for)
All fuses at box (white with rubber boot) under console all good
All three relays pulled an swapped no change
All three fuses for relays checked and found to be good
Ground side of starter terminals inspected and cleaned
No power at the white/yellow at back of solenoid.
Is the red a fuseable link, and anyone ever have problems. How could it have blown with no power literally worked the day before.
Boat is in Neutral
Kill switch is engaged.
