2014 G23 no Horn

Over the weekend while out I used the horn once or twice giving my rider a Thumbs up/ good job indication. Went to hit it again and no noise later that day.

Chances of the horn going out to me are slim? But no impossible.

Opinions? I found multiple horns on Nautique parts but not sure which is the correct one for the G23.

I will take a multi meter with me next weekend when we go down as boat is about 2.5hrs away currently.

Check for circuit faults in LINC first.

Horn failures on Nautiques are nothing new though.

Mine is on the starboard bow section which gets wet frequently when surfing. Works fine when dried out, not at all when wet. I carry a whistle with me so if I get pulled over for a marine "hunting expedition", AKA courtesy safety check I'm still legal. I've seen boaters pulled over and get ticketed for some of the craziest boating regulations. Best to be prepared all the time.

bturner I carry a whistle as well. But this is the first time I have had an issue with the horn.

NautiqueJeff Is that in the linc settings somewhere? I have not messed with that but will this weekend and look for more info.

They’re really easy to swap out. Stick your head in the observer compartment and pull the two wires off the back. Then go outside and remove the two Phillips screws from the horn housing and the assembly pops right out. You can test it by twisting a wire onto each terminal and touching them to the terminals of one of your batteries.

I guess it was just wet or not happy with me that weekend. Worked fine over this past weekend. Post can be deleted by admin
