FCC Upgrade... is it worth it?

1995 Nautique Super Sport w/325 hours.

Boat has run wonderfully, but now is beginning to SURGE (at all RPMs). Performing a full tune etc, but wondering if upgrading the Two Stage fuel pump and external filter to a Fuel Control Cell is a smart move at this point.

Anyone have any experience with this?

It’s absolutely not worth it. There’s a good thread either here or correctcraftfan on the 95 with no FCC. The relocation kit’s bracket conflicts with the v-drive setup. But even with a direct drive setup, Summit has a fuel pump that works to replace the old NLA fuel pump. FCC is a better solution but the non-FCC solution is fine as long as the fuel pump is working well.

Thanks for the reply... Trying to track down the cause of my "surging". There seem to be LOTS of possible causes. After the tune up and inline filter replacement, I'm going to look a solenoids and then testing the High and Low pressure fuel pumps..... where all that will lead is still an unknown. Praying it's not the ECM.
