2001 Air Nautique. Earlier this spring I had to replace the left side switch/start panel. Then it worked perfectly. It has been flawless all summer. Then the other day it was a hot day, and after being out for about an hour, we turned it off, and then it just would not start. Got towed in. Next day it would start like normal, but after about 2 seconds, it would die, as if someone turned it off. I must have started it 15-20 times like this while messing with different wires. It always died after 2 seconds. I messed with the tether, and it made no difference. I went the next day to pull it out of the water to take to a Marina, and just for fun wanted to see if it would start. It did! And ran perfectly. I drove all around the lake at all speeds, and turned it off several times. Now I want to know what is wrong before it happens again and leaves us stranded.
Does anyone have any ideas?
