2013 SAN 210 Access Panel Latch

I recently purchased a 2013 SANTE and the access panel that covers the battery selector cubby does not latch. It does seem like its even close. Something seems fundamentally wrong here. Can someone steer me in the right direction? For the life of me I can't find photos of this on any other boat. I've attached a couple really bad pictures here for reference.

    Thanks!

My 2013 has the same issue. Tagging along to see if someone has a fix.

That’s wild. Does yours stay closed on its own?

Seems like there should be something for the latch to catch on. Is there nothing there?

Exactly. There is no latch at all. Feels like I’m
          missing a piece here.

There is a tab that is missing. It ticks out slightly at the opening just in front of the battery switch. The knob on the door is designed to slightly drag on the tab by its spring pressure. Mine broke off last season. It is pretty fragile and is easily bumped when operating the battery switch. I was able to epoxy mine back together and also reinforced it with a thin piece of metal on the back side. The other half is probably still there. It's hard to see. I used an inspection mirror and had to remove and install the screws blind.

Its actually two pieces. You can loosen the small bolts to adjust the tightness of the fit to the knob. The part the small bolts go though is what breaks. I’ll see if I can find the photos of it on the bench while i was repairing it.
