A Couple Fall Clean-up Qs

Hi. I'm looking for some tips on the following:

1) I installed SeaDek on my transom steps/swim platform this spring. What's a good method and cleaner to use? I see they recommend avoiding Meguiar’s Car Wash, Armor All, Simple Green, 303 Citrus Boat Cleaner, Woody’s Wash and Wax, and Starbrite Mildew.

2) The underside of my hull has some grime buildup on it. What's a good way to get that off with the least elbow grease?

Wait what, no Simple Green? Dang, I blew that.
I use Tuff Stuff and a soft brush, and then hit it all with a warm water rinse.
Maybe I'm doing it all wrong, but it looks spanky clean. I keep a can on the boat for when the carry over from the "no food on the boat" thread ends up on the SeaDek, it's an easy spot clean up.

I buy it by the case, great carpet cleaner also. I've seen it in the grocery and auto parts stores:

Edit: Try the Tuff Stuff on the grime build up, you might be impressed. It's like my Windex on My Big Fat Greek Wedding (some will get that), lol

SeaDek's own cleaner works great. Not sure if that's why they aren't recommending others. Maybe they want to corner the market on the cleaner too, but it does work well.

Be sure to thoroughly rinse anything you use. I used the SeaDek cleaner and didn't rinse it as well as I should, and I took a nasty fall from the top of the engine walk-through on my Paragon, bounced down the steps at the back, hit the platform, and ended up in the water. Wish I had a video of that!

SeaDek Dek Magic - Salts, Soaps & Alcohols, yep, that will clean something. Can't see where Simple Green would be any more caustic than that. Does seem to be a corner the market thing. I might try a bottle of that, just to say I did...

I like the Personal Protective Equipment suggestions outlined in the SDS, going in for a radiation scrub or it seems.

They do also approve of: Starbrite Deck Cleaner, Starbrite FiberGlass, and Starbrite XTREME. They also say to "use an all-purpose cleaner, degreaser, or dish soap along with warm water..." I would have considered Simple Green an all-purpose cleaner/degreaser, so shame on me.

I saw someone suggested Spray Nine Marine cleaner degreaser on this site I got some and used it on the interior of my 2002 and could not believe how great it worked! My interior looks brand new stuff is fantastic.

Ha ha, I picked up some Spray 9, too. Haven't tried it yet.

That Spray 9 is some potent stuff. I was doing a little interior cleanup and by mistake grabbed the wrong bottle for a small spot on a seat cushion, had a little freak out session when I realized it was the S9. All is well, but I had to do some quick blending, it was almost like I had sprayed bleach on the seat. I don't think I would use it on the seats, at least not diluted, unless you have some real nasty clean up to do. Haven't tried it on the SeaDek, yet...
