    Error code

2016 G21. 3 error codes popped up and I am wondering if anyone has fixed any of these:

DTC 2123 throttle control position (TCP) sensor 1 voltage low

DTC 8915 oxygen (o2) sensor 1pump cell slow to warm up

DTC 31 oxygen sensor 1 heater open or short to ground

Yes, fixed all of those before. But, if all those were logged at the same time, then I think you may have a problem with your battery or the ECM because those represent 2 different issues and it's very unlikely two parts would fail at the same time. It's more likely there is an issue with the ECM's reference voltages. Do you see a date a timestamp for each of those errors? Are they all the same? If the logged times are different, then maybe you do actually have two different issues. If that's the case, post back and I'll tell you more about the 2 problems.

First step, make sure your battery is good and there aren't any issues with battery clamps or battery wires? What voltage are you seeing on the LINC screen with both the engine off and on?

Hi jpwhit, Thanks for the reply!! All three have come at different times. The oxygen sensor codes have been on for a while but the throttle control error came and put it in limp mode. I think they are unrelated. I'll check the battery and cables/hookups and also check the voltage while on/off and get back to you. Thanks again!

Ok, then they probably are different issues. You probably don't need to check the voltages. What engine and how many hours?

Replacing the O2 sensors will likely fix DTC 31 and DTC 8915. For 2016 I would expect you have four O2 sensors since that year should have catalytic converters. Only one O2 sensor has failed at the moment given the codes, but I would replace all four because O2 sensor have a pretty predictable life based on engine run time. They degrade in the hot exhaust stream. There is no difference between automotive and marine O2 sensors, so buying automotive ones is a lot cheaper. But I would stick with OEM Delco sensors.

For code DTC 8915, I need to know the engine model.

If it's a PCM EX343, then you need to replace the TCP. Here is the part. Unfortunately the original manufacturer of the TCP was bought by another company and stopped making the part. PCM had to source a different part from another manufacturer but it's calibrated differently and the ECM has to be re-flashed to work with the new part.

If it's not a PCM EX343, then the answer may be different.

          Hi jpwhit:

I have the PCM H5 coastal engine in this one. The Throttle code has sense not come back but the boat has an irregular idle every now and again so I think i still need to replace the throttle body. The Nautique tech said I would need to replace the entire throttle body control. I can't find the part online (or at least I'm not 100% sure its the right part. Do you know what part that is?

Also I do need to replace all 4 O2 sensors. Do you know the part numbers for them?
