Hey All,
I have a 2018 G23 with the H6 motor in it. Late in the year we noticed a womping noise coming from the vdrive/prop when in forward gear at idle. Almost sounded like a bent shaft or bent prop but everything checked out fine. Would go away as soon as RPMs increased over idle. While winterizing it for the year, I pulled the oil form the Vdrive and its full of metal flake. Nothing chucky just small metal fragments. Unfortunately I am out of warranty on this boat so I am looking into different options.
Does anyone know if parts/overhaul manuals are available for these Vdrives and were to get them? I am temped to do the rebuild myself as I have rebuilt several manual transmissions in the past. Vdrives can't be that hard right...
