    Winterizing Direct Drive transmission

I have a 2002 Sport Nautique and it is my first time winterizing. I followed all the steps outlined in the great article for winterizing your boat. The one point in the manual and article states you should empty water out of transmission cooler. I have only found one screw for a small hex head bit at the bottom of my transmission. I believe that is most likely for draining the transmission fluid and not water. I have pumped antifreeze into the motor because it will be sitting outside shrink wrapped in my driveway for the winter.

Can anyone help with the direct drive transmission question? I saw it was posted many times but never answered. I have also tried to find images of the bottom of a PCM 1.23:1 transmission and came up with nothing.

Draining the cooler, not the transmission. Follow the line from the transmission up to the cooler

Your Trans. cooler should look like the one in this link,
Between the raw water intake and the RWP. I usually vacumn that hose out from the RWP end to drain the hose and cooler.
