Hi Guys, Ive been pulling my hair out lately as I have a 2000 Super Sport Nautique that won't crank. When I enter my code into the keypad and hit start I hear something run for a couple seconds- Which i'm guessing is the fuel pump and then I hit start again and I just get a quick click from the starter. Here is what i have checked,
-I have replaced cylinder like solenoid by the computer in the engine compartment as I have read they are a common problem
-tried switching the fuel pump/ ecu relay's (from scouring previous threads on here)
-tried bypassing both the neutral safety switch and kill switch tether.
-tried cleaning both battery terminals ( they were already quite clean)
-cleaned the negative ground connections on the block
-charged the battery which shows 12.8v with a voltage tester.
-bench tested the starter with built in solenoid.
-there are also no blown breakers in the box under the steering wheel area.
I have also read on here that the keypads are a common issue, but I'm guessing mine is ok- being that the backlight comes on after I push every number and that there is at least a click coming from the starter- is there a way i could test this further if i should?
Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this girl shrink wrapped before the snow flies and would prefer not to worry over it this winter.
