07 211 Team, when switch is bilge only, still hear fuel pump

when i put my battery main power switch from all on to builge pump only, and cover the boat up. i still hear what sounds like, one of the fuel pumps running for just like 2 seconds, and it may recycle in about 10 minutes. maybe its somehting else, but it sounds like the fuel pump. is this proper. should i worry about anything.

i keep boat on a lift, about 3 feet above the water. i guess when i know i wont use it for more than a month, i'll pull the plug, drain it real good, put plug back in, and turn it all off.

More than likely you are hearing the bilge pump for a second or two. Nothing worry about.

Yup, it's the bilge pump. There are no float valves in the bilge pumps that CC uses, so it spins up and looks for resistance. If there is resistance, it keeps turning (pumps the water out of the bilge), if there is no resistance, it stops until the next cycle. Totally normal.

i guess we could assume it is happening at both pumps. isn't there two of them. one in front of gas tank and one behind.

My 206 has 2 pumps so I would guess the 211 does as well. For what it's worth, I have heard of the pumps killing the battery if the boat sits for extended periods.

I use one of those solar battery chargers when I leave the boat at the dock. Then in the winter when I leave it in the garage I have one of those little battery tenders. Those battery tenders are a God send, as they have a little computer chip that keeps the battery at its optimal voltage and does not overcharge. A standard charger will "boil" out the battery acid over extended periods of time, while a tender like this will not. I kept mine (battery) hooked up to the tender all winter, and the boat cranked right up when I pulled it out for the spring. Just my little bit of info!
