Took the boat out yesterday for the first time since October. I had the keypad malfunction for the first time. Ran the boat for about 20 minutes cruising around and then while filling starboard and port ballast, the keypad froze. The starboard ballast was stuck on but the keypad had no functionality (lights were on for the starboard ballast and the run light). I had to turn the toggle switch to off to turn off the boat. Waited a minute and then everything worked fine.
I have the analog gauge conversion kit sitting in my garage to install so I am thinking I will get a replacement keypad too. From what I have read online, once the keypad starts malfunctioning like this it will continue to happen.
Any ideas if it could be something else? I've read low voltage can be an issue but my batteries were at 12.5 volts prior to taking the boat out. My voltage gauge doesn't work on the boat so not sure of the voltage at the time of the issue...however, considering everything worked fine after the reset, I doubt I had low voltage.
Does anyone know how to remove the dash on a 2009 SAN 230? I've read some of the nautiques dashes are held on with velcro but before I start yanking on the dash it would be great to have someone chime in.
