2007 SAN 211 gauges not working

Oil, fuel and temp gauges are not working. I noticed there are no wires connected to them other than the daisy chain 4-wire connection from gauge to gauge.

The main connector has the sender wires coming to it but the wires are not making it
to the gauges. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for these Faria gauges. I can’t find a wiring diagram anywhere on the web.

Also, I may have multiple issues. Two of the three none-working gauges do not have lights working. Does that mean the entire gauge is faulty? How can I test the gauges themselves

First, there is no such thing as a SAN 211. What you have is likely an Air Nautique 211. The 211 was never marketed as a Super Air Nautique. It was built as a crossover boat.

Your gauge problem is almost certainly related to your gateway. They are known for failure, and the only thing to do is install a gateway bypass. They are expensive and "fun" to install. Here's the link to the one you need:

The daisy-chained wiring is correct for gateway boats, so nothing sounds out of place there.

There is a small chance one bad gauge can take out the rest, small chance, unhook all gauges and only plug one in at a time, it does not matter the order, but inputs and outputs are marked A and B I believe, just pick a working gauge and then a non working gauge. Inspect for corrosion at the Gateway, most likely you will need to Convert the system over.

While the above may work, it won't be a fix, it will be a postponement of the inevitable full of enduring frustration. Unfortunately, when these systems start going bad it's not an "if" but a "when" will the rest of the system tank. While I personally have not experienced this particular junk system, I did experience the garbage version MasterCraft decided to go with from Medallion. Gauges that don't work or work accurately are of zero value and at best can one day leave you stranded or worse leave you with a blown engine from not being able to monitor critical operational data.

It's never fun to get the bad news of an expensive repair however with the information provided you have the opportunity to move forward with a solid resolution to the issue and it is something you can do yourself. The question becomes, are you looking to resolve the issue or are you looking to make working on this gauge issue a hobby? After spending 3 months in the gauge repair hobby one season I made the decision to get out so I've been there and I do feel your pain.
